Wedged
windows are ideal for producing minor angular or linear
beam displacements and optical path differences.
Optical wedges are wedged windows
used to steer the beam of light or laser. They are
specifically designed to provide deviation between
the first and second surface. Other uses provide transmission
as wedged windows of the same power in series and
in close contact it provides the beam steering. To
achieve this the windows must be rotating independently.
Wedged prism windows material generally includes
BK7 optical glass, borosilicates and fused silica.
